Institute, WV (January 27, 2025) – On Saturday, January 25, at least one person suffered injuries following a car accident in the Institute area. That morning around 11:09 a.m., the crash was first reported at the intersection of Walker Addition Road and First Avenue S. The injured parties were treated by attending paramedics before being transferred to local hospitals for further aid.

The roadway was closed while emergency crews were present, and tow trucks were later needed to remove the resulting debris and reopen the area to outside traffic.
