Lyburn, WV (April 25, 2025) – One was killed and another injured after a two-vehicle collision outside of Lyburn on Thursday, April 24. The deadly crash took place in Logan County on WV-10 near Vocational School Road that afternoon at around 1:45 p.m. Local reports revealed that one of the vehicles struck the other on the side at the intersection.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving aid, one of the drivers sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victim was later identified as 73-year-old Arnold Oney of Grayson, KY. The other driver was transported to Logan Regional Medical Center to undergo treatment for related injuries. Neither of the vehicles had other occupants at the time of the impact. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
