Marmet, WV (January 11, 2024) – On Friday, January 10, at least one person was hurt following a traffic accident in the Marmet area. The collision took place at the corner of Sutphin Drive and Lens Creek Road that afternoon around 2:42 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties.

There were reported injuries at the scene, but the number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been determined. The injured parties were provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. Ambulances were available to transport the involved parties to a local hospital for further treatment. The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were needed to clear the site and reopen the area to outside traffic.
