Sissonville, WV (April 19, 2025) – There were confirmed injuries following a traffic accident in the Sissonville area on Friday, April 18. The collision took place on Interstate 77 near mile marker 114.5 that evening at around 5 p.m. All northbound lanes were closed as a result of the accident. 

Local reports revealed that the crash occurred in a construction zone, and two people were injured as a result. The collision reportedly involved a temporary barrier wall, and the damage was repaired by a responding highway crew. The area was temporarily closed while tow trucks were able to remove the resulting debris and reopen the roadway. No further updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided.  An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
