South Charleston, WV (December 19, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident in the South Charleston area on Wednesday, December 18. The incident took place that evening around 10:19 p.m. on Interstate 64 WB near MacCorkle Avenue. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
The injured parties were provided immediate aid at the scene by attending medical personnel, and those needing further support were later hospitalized by ambulance. The severity and number of the resulting injuries have not yet been determined. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present, and tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage in order to reopen the road to outside traffic.
