Tornado, WV (December 26, 2024) – On Thursday, December 26, at least one person sustained injuries after an auto accident in the Tornado area. Early that morning around 5:59 a.m., the crash was first reported at the 5255 block of Smith Creek Road. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
Ambulances were available to transport the injured parties to local hospitals. The severity and number of the related damages have not yet been determined. The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were later dispatched to clear the resulting debris and reopen the roadway. The circumstances leading to the crash have not been determined thus far. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
